Determine Your Maximum Custom Rim Size

How to Determine Your Vehicle's Maximum Wheel Size

  1. Find your vehicles OE information sticker or plate (it's usually in the door jamb or glove compartment).

  2. Locate the line that says Rims/Wheels and you'll see something like 14×5.5. The first number "14" is the OE rim size, 14 inches, and "5.5" is the width, 5.5 inches.

  3. I use a rule of 2 inches over the OE rims width. The largest width of the custom rims you should be looking for in this case is 7.5 inches. You can then shop for the largest diameter rim/wheel that has a width of 7.5 inches. In this case 18 inch rims would probably be the largest. If your budget allows, you may be able to find 19's.
